UK Imports: UK imports from the UAE also surged, totaling £9.3 billion, a 32.8% increase.

This data positions the UAE as the UK's 19th largest trading partner, accounting for 1.4% of total UK trade.

In 2021, the outward stock of foreign direct investment (FDI) from the UK in the UAE was £5.2 billion, representing 0.3% of the total UK outward FDI stock. Conversely, the inward stock of FDI in the UK from the UAE was £7.4 billion, accounting for 0.4% of the total UK inward FDI stock.

The UAE has been experiencing robust economic growth, with GDP per capita increasing from $37.6 thousand in 2020 to $51.4 thousand in 2022. In 2022, the UAE stood as the 29th largest economy globally in terms of GDP.
